How to link 'non project' tasks in allocatus? - e.g. Holiday/office time to show as busy time in project server

    Hi, 

    I'm currently trialling Allocatus for my project team, but wish them to link back their own 'non project' time to project server, so that it shows as busy (and that they are not available in the resource pool).

    However, how best to do this? Do I create an 'individual' project for each person?  – Then get them to link outlook entries to this? Would this work? What is the recommended way please? It would be excellent to have (say) a few categories such as 'office' holiday etc that they can link many Outlook appointments to as they need to in Outlook.

    Hi,

    the exact configuration depends on your requirements. Typically you would setup an absence project with a task for each category and assign your team members as resources to it. The team members can then use the Link to Project feature in Outlook desktop version to assign an existing appointment to a task in the absence project.

    Please discuss your scenario with our support team. They will send your a custom Admin Guide with the required settings, provide your the Allocatus Client Setup that enables the Link to Project Feature in Outlook.
